Our Land
Long formed in time
Beyond forces of control
Through generations in infinite balance
Of life and death recurring
And here we are, but the flit of a fire fly
And in this flit of our span
We have levelled hills and dug the earth
Trees felled and woods to ashen stumps
Without protest life scatters at our advance
This land surrenders to our whim
We like gods shape our world
But a delicate balance is disturbed with ease
And a world tipping hard to halt
The slow creep of change builds
Silently to envelop
