"The soil itself seems a constant presence as part of our material presence in the world and yet it's conditions and constituents change,as within ourselves.

During a year's art residency in England, I continued tending the soil in my Welsh clients' gardens,and as I searched for a new home,the soil became a metaphor for that which remains,those qualities which nourish,despite the changing locations and stories.

These paintings express those explorations.The circular storyboards incorporate movable smaller circles,in order to further explore changing stories of possibility."
