Mosaic Workshops - Saturday October 26 and December 7
(These workshops stand alone if you only wish to do one.)

Saturday October 26
We will be working on a curved surface. Small terracotta flowerpots will be available for you to create an image in a day. Please bring your own pot if you prefer.
Saturday December 7
The December workshop will be with a Christmas theme (although you may do your own theme if you prefer). We will be working on a flat surface either creating a 4” x 4” coaster/wall decoration or mosaicing Christmas decorations onto hanging slate hearts and stars, hanging doves and slate heart-shaped coasters.
There will be mosaic tiles, ceramics/china, glass and beads available but please bring along any cherished or chipped china, beads, jewellery or shells that you wish to include in your design and learn how to safely create a new work of art. Bring a design if you wish or there will be ideas available if you would like guidance.
Perfect for beginners or for those who wish to expand their knowledge of mosaic.
Please bring an apron or wear old clothes as mosaic making is a bit messy!
About the tutor: Delia Taylor-Brook
Delia creates beautiful mosaic work using carefully selected pieces of discarded china, tesserae and found objects. Sometimes broken heirlooms revive memories, images tell new stories. Delia is a fine art painter, inspired by nature who became fascinated by the jewel-like colours, designs and patterns of glass and ceramics and the exciting possibilities of this ancient art in combining found objects in new compositions.
