A complete introduction to collagraph printmaking using an etching press. In this workshop you'll explore a range of materials that you can use to create exciting textured printing plates. This is a fairly free style printing process, where the ideas are suggested by the materials at hand. We are gluing textured materials to the card using the glue stick or tape to make a scene or something abstract.
The plate can be used again to print a series of prints. You can also alter it if you want for different effects by adding more materials.
If you love collage, then you'll love Collagraph! If you love texture, shape and colour this is a great workshop for you.
Beginners to improvers. All materials provided.

About the tutor: Amy Sterly is a printmaker and sculptor, originally from Chicago. She moved to the U.K. in 1989 and has since exhibited throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. She is a very experienced tutor having delivered workshops to various groups and ages.
